During World War 2, Sherlock Holmes (Basil Rathbone) and Doctor Watson (Nigel Bruce), are asked by the British government to help bring Swiss scientist Dr. Franz Tobel (William Post Jr.) from Switzerland to England, where he can provide the Allied air forces with his new bombsight. While successful in the initial mission, the doctor is kidnapped after dividing his invention into pieces to distribute among other scientists in England and Holmes and Watson must hurry to get them both back before the German spies can get hold of them from Professor Moriarty (Lionel Atwill.) |
