Anne Shirley (Megan Follows) is grown up and ready for an adventure. Once thinking she would get married and never leave Avonlea, she decides to try out her wings by accepting a teaching position at Kingsport Ladies College. There she is tested, not only by her students, but by teachers and a powerful family in the community that don't like her challenge to their authority. Anne handles the challenges with humor, honesty and her usual style of making friends with those inside and outside the powerful family. Even after falling in love, she soon begins to realize what she misses about her home in Avonlea.
