The Killers (1964)“The Killers” opens with the killing of Johnny North (John Cassavettes), a former race car driver who now teaches mechanics at a school for the blind. The assassins, Charlie (Lee Marvin) and Lee (Clu Gulager) cannot understand why, even though warned, Johnny didn’t resist or run. The viewer is given the background of events that brought Johnny to this end through flashbacks. We see his meeting up with Sheila (Angie Dickenson) and their subsequent tragedy. |
