David (Henry Jaglom) and Judy (Patrice Townsend) have been married a long time. The kids are now gone and they find themselves left with not much in common anymore. Although David knows that they are drifting apart, he is taken by surprise when Judy announces she wants a divorce. Not wanting to alarm their friends and to spoil the big annual 4th of July party they host every year, the couple keeps everything quiet. But as friends and family begin to arrive for the party, they find themselves reexamining everything their future plans. Will they be able to rekindle the love they once had?
