Adam and Amanda Bonner (Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn) are a happily married couple... until the attorneys end up facing each other in court. When a young wife (Judy Holliday) is accused of shooting her husband (Tom Ewell), Adam Bonner ends up representing the husband. Upon hearing this, Amanda then seeks out the accused wife and becomes her legal counsel. The resulting court case wreaks havoc with the Bonner marriage as they are unable to stop discussing the case, even at home. |
